When your client hands you a large estate-like lot with amazing views, it is time to get creative. The design brief called for a strong connection to the gardens and to the life on the street. Approaching the home, a sea of flowers paint the way to the front door whereas, a ‘Hollywood drive’ guides those who are driving. Allowing the owners to fully interact with the landscape and view, the backyard seeks a non-fussy clarity in its detailing, planting and materiality.
